I guess you can Rx HAM frequencies but no TX and the advertising and FCC approval looks like you should be able to hit repeaters?l.....(but Tx is disabled).

Actually I would RTFM IF I could find one and I've searched their site....heck I can't even find the GM-15PRO on baofengradio but I did find the manual for the radio...

I've emailed BAOFENG and requested since I find links that take me to their radios (but it looks like they send you to Chirp which does NOT support the GM-15PRO. Doesn't BAOFENG have it's own software? I've got Radioddity and it works but how would I do a FW update? Thanks for everyone's help!

I guess that's a possibility....I would like it better if it would restrict you to ONLY entering Freqs that are allowed....but it's workable No I have not updated the firmware for my GM-15Pro....have you? Any problems? Any benefits? Thanks for the replies!

Well that was the lowest on the mid channel around 16....others were higher

@WRYS709 No.....heard some issues.....I don't rush into FW updates unless I find others with the same radio that have no issues....too old for that BTW...the according to the RTFM....it's not supposed to TX above channel 32.....ARG

@Sshannon Helps to RTFM....I just found that the other 170 channels for RX only scanning! Well it no biggie...if I mod a channel below 32 with tones I'll just create the same in the RX only channels so I can still scan it....or does the Tone NOT prevent receiving RX regular TX....the code is only for my radio for TX?

Hello, I just got the Gam3Gear SURECOM SW-33 Mark II Power/SWR meter. I've checked both antennas that came with the HT and I cannot get below 2! Most are Higher! The radios were a 2 pack so I even tried the other antennas with the same results. Did I get a bum SWR or are the stock antenna crap (and yes I know these are budget radios....) I do have a mobile antenna arriving today (Bingfu Ham Radio Vehicle Car Mobile Radio Antenna Dual Band VHF UHF 136-174MHz 400-520MHz Magnetic Base PL259 Male Antenna for BTECH ICOM Kenwood Midland Yaesu TYT AnyTone Amateur Radio Two Way Radio and it says "FRS GMRS Radio"....... I was hoping to test that but if my test equipment is bad....... Suggestions? Thanks for the help!

That's my problem; with my GM-15Pro using Radioddity ALL Tx frequencies are locked even on the DIY....

Hello, I'm trying to program my Baofeng GM-15Pro with radioddity set to GM-30 as people say they are the same radio. Radioddity does not have an option for GM-15Pro just like Chirp or Chirp Next. I'm trying to setup a repeater channel and the Rx frequency is good but the TX frequency is not correct and it's greyed out. Am I doing something wrong? I could manually input the frequencies but documentation is not very good Any help for this newbee would be awesome! Thanks!
