I got permission to use the local repeater that's a pay to use the owner granted permission to try it out. So, I've been on their listening to it yesterday I hear people talking I've got everything set up right for the repeater and they don't respond back. It was obvious it was some business because they kept talking about opening gates and closing gates. The owner even sent me the list of how many people are assigned to this repeater Which is only 14 and only 6 live in Ocala. I don't even hear the repeater giving off its call sign every so often.

I'm trying to program one of my local repeaters so I went online I got this set up for an example because I am completely lost It says the input and output tone is 023 DPL there is no option for 023 DPL or even just plain 023. Which one would be the right one because I've ran across this a couple times.

lol free repeater, the gun shows are defiantly not free to set up at to sell guns. $90 per table and i get anywhere from 3 to 5.

I've found some stuff isn't on the app but on here and I figure its due to size it would take but in general I love both.

Where I live there is only one repeater and it's a pay to use one if I'm the only one on then there's no use to pay, but where I attend most gun shows there are free ones so that's what I'm stuck with right now. I've thought it would be nice to have one with the offroad parks and trails around, but the cost isn't feasible for just me. There are a few groups that use the Boofwang as they trail ride. I've thought about talking to them to see if they would be interested in helping set one up.

I'm new also and these have saved me a lot as long as i take a minute to relax to look them over.

I'm new to gmrs also but i would like to say i love my Boofwang's but you can also get the TYT-9800 for in your jeep when unlocked (yes against rules) it will do ham, gmrs, cb.

At one time I seen a hand crank backup battery so if you can charge by usb it would work.

I flew with mine so I could listen to stuff while in Vegas and they had no issues at either airport. next is a cruise lol

With all the hunters and trails in the Ocala Forest why aren't there more repeaters here

now in Florida it would be Verizon
