  1. This is why it is recommended "drilling the hole" G.
  2. Not sure if they are the gold standard, but I use them on my cars, with good results. G.
  3. I am just going by the brochure specs. The lithium disposable battery is rated at 12 hours according to the brochure... I've updated the name, will upload shortly. G.
  4. @PACNWCommsvery nice. It really helps when you get radios for free... haha.
  5. Added the Astro System Saber, but there isn't much info really. Certainly not as detailed as the newer radios spec sheets are.
  6. They sort of did with the XPR7550 radios, they look like mini Saber radios... G
  7. That seems like a 10 dB insertion loss. I would use a Return Loss Bridge (RLB) to tune duplexers, its far easier than tuning them with the Analyzer alone. G.
  8. The XPR7550 was heavily inspired by the Astro radios... that is why I like the XPR7550e so much... I used to like those old Astro radios... On a different note... Seems like PAC owns at least one of every Motorola radio model built to date... Is there a Motorola radio model you don't own? impressive! G.
  9. Can you try a 10dB attenuator on the comet when placed high? G.
  10. @JLeikhimsure thing, catalog sheet, please. I just updated the main comparison with a couple of additional radios
  11. yep, another CCR trash transmitter... spewing stuff all over the band.... nothing new.
  12. If the antenna is fine, its most likely receiver desense. What radio are you using?
  13. Speaking of the R7, here is an unboxing video
  14. Yes, I think so. They transform the 5550e into an XPR7550e with 50W.
  15. What you are experiencing might be receiver desense. Try adding a 10dB attenuator to the radio see if reception improves. You didn't specify what radio you were using. G.
  16. width and height. I have several HHCH heads for my 5550e radios. G.
  17. I found that adding a tiger tail, or rat tail, to my old GT-3 radio helped a lot... just add a short piece of wire to the outer side of the SMA. G.
  18. Looks like its an FRS radio. No license required to operate in FRS.
  19. I would strongly advice against posting how to crack or obtain passwords from radios.
  20. Nice, looks like it has a SINADDER built in then. Which model?
  21. Very nice, the one I am using is this one: https://www.minicircuits.com/pdfs/ZX60-P103LN+.pdf It has a very high IP3 and it works very well even in very high noise sites. G.
  22. not bad, what is the IP3? My LNA has an 11dB pad after it... but I also have a much shorter run so the net gain on mine is about ~8dB.
