That seems like a 10 dB insertion loss. I would use a Return Loss Bridge (RLB) to tune duplexers, its far easier than tuning them with the Analyzer alone.

The XPR7550 was heavily inspired by the Astro radios... that is why I like the XPR7550e so much... I used to like those old Astro radios...
On a different note... Seems like PAC owns at least one of every Motorola radio model built to date... Is there a Motorola radio model you don't own?

What you are experiencing might be receiver desense. Try adding a 10dB attenuator to the radio see if reception improves. You didn't specify what radio you were using.
