Thanks quarterwave. I've got the argent data ads-sr1 simplex repeater. I plan on putting it in use with one of my wouxon uv6x commercial ht's in a waterproof container and using it for emergency communications and day to day with my brother.

Are simplex repeaters legal on gmrs frequencies? I can't find anything online or in the rules and regulations regarding a simplex repeater. Im new to gmrs so any help would be very appreciated. Thanks. WQTL614
