  1. I just had the same thought
  2. Ok, that would be neat. I will set another channel as Priority and see if it still blinks.
  3. Yeah I couldn't find it in the manual either. No, it cannot be programed with Chirp. The Wouxun radios have their own independent radio-specific software. We may be on to something with the Priority settings. Well scratch that. You cannot turn Priority channel off, it has to be set. Here are the configuration settings.
  4. This green "phone" looking icon, right next to Ch-033, only comes on and blinks after I transmit. Is this normal for this radio? Do I have a setting turned on that is better served turned off? I just had a thought. Is this icon telling me Ch 33 is set as my priority channel? Thanks
  5. I have about 4 outstanding requests. They're for repeaters on my way to visit my stepson and his family and I wouldn't use them very often. I too don't understand why the owners don't reply back to us. Maybe they're looking for users in their area that will be using them alot. Maybe my sporadic usage isn't high enough on their approval list.
  6. For me, I did briefly look at the Q10G, but the 935G Plus uses my 905G battery and I had just ordered the cigarette charger for my 905G, so I know it will still work with the 935. I like the look of the 935 screen better and the 935 is $70 cheaper
  7. I think I've seen it
  8. well, I hope all you enablers are happy! I just ordered the 935G+, lol Honestly don't know why. One side of my brain kept saying "my 905G is perfectly fine", the other side was like "but it's newer and has a color display and everybody says it's great"
  9. This post right here is what will get me in trouble. I too have the 905G and I'm trying to talk myself out of the 935G
  10. I have the 905G and I just bought the battery adapter for my truck, and now I have seen the 935G+. Part of me says "heck yeah new radio" and the other part of me says the 905G is fine and does what I need it to do. What is the arguement for the 935G+ ?
  11. I didn't think so either and I'm using the cable from BTWR and the standard 905g software program
  12. I actually had to set the KG software to run in Win 8 Compatibility Mode
  13. actually I just found the solution on BTWR. https://www.buytwowayradios.com/blog/2021/05/how-to-install-the-programming-cable-and-software-for-the-kg-905g.html
  14. Well it doesn't work this way for me. I've tried both laptop ports. New programing cable from Buy Two Way Radios Chirp NEXT detects the cable Laptop running Windows 11 Makes me think the KG-905G program is not compatible with Windows 11
  15. I am mounting this to my hood. Am I supposed to run a ground wire from the antenna or mount to the vehicle body?
  16. Well now BTWR says late April. This sucks. Got a license and no legal way to participate . Also have a reunion I'm going to the end of April and was looking forward to having this on the trip.
  17. That's awesome!
  18. @Woody, check out buytwowayradios.com. Look at the KG-805g and the KG-905g radios. I liked the looks and features of the 905g and ordered it as the additional cost over the 805g was minùte. Impatiently waiting for it to arrive, lol. I too, as probably the majority of users on here do, have 2 of the UV-5R's and a TYT-UV88 that I use to monitor my local GMRS repeater. They both have the "capability" to transmit on the repeater, but are not legal to. Wade WRMC954
  19. I have to 2nd the comment regarding the KG-905g. This is the video that convinced me to order it: https://youtu.be/0jn_dewQM4I I've also ordered the Lido Radio LM-300-EXT Seat Bolt Mount With Mic Holder For Mobile and Portable Two Way Radios
  20. Hey Skyline, does the NASA sticker represent anything particular, or just a sticker?
  21. My wife and I use our phones for backing into the campsite. The advantages I see is I have my phone BT'd to my Armada. I don't have to hold the phone. It sits in a mount and both hands are free for the steering wheel. Using a radio would be more cumbersome. Thankfully our camping revolves around one campground and the same campsite 99% of the time and cellular service is never an issue. It works for us, even though I secretly like the idea of the radios...shhhh,
  22. Looks like the system maybe fixed. I was just now able to complete my registration
