Headrest speaker mount from Lido Mounts. I have dual hearing aids and had my previous speaker mounted in my previous vehicle above the seatbelt on the B pillar. Trying to keep this vehicle a little bit cleaner looking for all my installs. Speaker from Wally World. Sadly the wire is only 5 ft long and had to go to the right side of the seat so it would reach my mobile.

2021 Nissan Titan Pro-4X. This was the same spot as my Armada. The biggest difference is on the Armada, I had to take apart the center console to run my wires. Thankfully the Titan has the column shifter so the center console here, is void under the bottom. I had to modify the bottom of the console tray to allow the wires to come through. Speaker mic is mounted on the face of the dash with a magnet mic. Here is a rough YT video explaining the installation process Install process

I think that if you list your repeater on this website, you want people to use it, either openly or with permission. If you want it strictly for family access, why would it be listed on here? (That was just a rhetorical question) 2 weeks is ample time to respond. Other requests have been approved within a day or two. So it's not like these requests go to Spam. Ignoring requests is not respectful. It's counterconducive to the GMRS community. A new user to the radio world joins and requests access to their local repeater and gets no response gives the impression that GMRS repeater owners are snobs. Why would a new user find that encouraging and want to continue in the hobby?
-
It's not a complaint that they haven't given permission, but rather the lack of a response, whether it be yes or no. It's more about these individual's lack of intestinal fortitude and maturity to give a simple yes or no. It's shows a lack of respect. If you are going to have a repeater listed on this website with the Request Access button turned on, be respectful and either approve or deny requests to your repeater in a timely manner. The reason for these requests is for the PL Tone of the repeater, otherwise we can use simplex and makes the repeater a moot point.

Should I remove channels 8-14 from my radio? (Kenwood TK-372G)
brasda91 replied to ElectricXpert's question in Technical Discussion
.05 watts?? Do you have to be standing on a repeater? -
Yes "main" notifies you of which area you're currently using. And after some testing I believe you and @radiozipare correct as to it showing the last area that was active. This is some relief. This radio is more advanced than my 905G. When I programed it at work the other day, I wasn't able to hit the usual repeater and I was sure I had a setting wrong. Well once I switched to my Nagy 771 antenna and got outside, all was well. To say the advancement of this radio over the 905G has had me in anxiety, and I don't get anxious for anything, is saying something.

I just had the same thought
-
Ok, that would be neat. I will set another channel as Priority and see if it still blinks.
-
Yeah I couldn't find it in the manual either. No, it cannot be programed with Chirp. The Wouxun radios have their own independent radio-specific software. We may be on to something with the Priority settings. Well scratch that. You cannot turn Priority channel off, it has to be set. Here are the configuration settings.

This green "phone" looking icon, right next to Ch-033, only comes on and blinks after I transmit. Is this normal for this radio? Do I have a setting turned on that is better served turned off? I just had a thought. Is this icon telling me Ch 33 is set as my priority channel? Thanks

I have about 4 outstanding requests. They're for repeaters on my way to visit my stepson and his family and I wouldn't use them very often. I too don't understand why the owners don't reply back to us. Maybe they're looking for users in their area that will be using them alot. Maybe my sporadic usage isn't high enough on their approval list.

For me, I did briefly look at the Q10G, but the 935G Plus uses my 905G battery and I had just ordered the cigarette charger for my 905G, so I know it will still work with the 935. I like the look of the 935 screen better and the 935 is $70 cheaper
-
I think I've seen it
-
well, I hope all you enablers are happy! I just ordered the 935G+, lol Honestly don't know why. One side of my brain kept saying "my 905G is perfectly fine", the other side was like "but it's newer and has a color display and everybody says it's great"
-
damn it

This post right here is what will get me in trouble. I too have the 905G and I'm trying to talk myself out of the 935G
-
I have the 905G and I just bought the battery adapter for my truck, and now I have seen the 935G+. Part of me says "heck yeah new radio" and the other part of me says the 905G is fine and does what I need it to do. What is the arguement for the 935G+ ?
-
I didn't think so either and I'm using the cable from BTWR and the standard 905g software program
-
I actually had to set the KG software to run in Win 8 Compatibility Mode
-
actually I just found the solution on BTWR. https://www.buytwowayradios.com/blog/2021/05/how-to-install-the-programming-cable-and-software-for-the-kg-905g.html
-
Well it doesn't work this way for me. I've tried both laptop ports. New programing cable from Buy Two Way Radios Chirp NEXT detects the cable Laptop running Windows 11 Makes me think the KG-905G program is not compatible with Windows 11
