Chrip does support the Baofeng UV-5G radio. You must select the Radioddity UV-5G rather than Baofeng.
  3. The unit voltage is adjustable and is set to 13.8v for my base radio. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XJVYDDW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
  4. Another option from Amazon. I removed a rocker switch from a broken kids eletric car for the ON/OFF switch. I have expericed no issues with this unit. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XJVYDDW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
  5. @rdunajewski problem corrected. Thank you.
  6. @rdunajewski when selecting to download Repeaters by State, either the PDF or CHIRP CSV, I receive this message "Your token has expired, please try again." I signed-out and then signed-in again, no change.
  7. I recommend you measure per the instructions for your target frequency, my target was 462MHz. Cut just beyond your measurement mark, leaving a little extra, ~1/16". I was concerned I might snip off more than desired. Then use a file to remove the remainder to your mark. My SWR is 1.0 to 1.4 depending on the frequency and wattage, good enough for me.
  8. Community decision, channel 19 it is.
  9. I am a recent GMRS licensee and was curious about the same option. Providing this forum and an iOS app as well as an Android/Google app takes time and funds. At the same time, I think those formats are not necessarily expected for Personal Radio Service. IDK, I am a newbie.
