Radioddity DB 20-G Display

Question

Posted

How do I get the DB-20 to display both the name and the frequency of the same channel? Either using the front panel or CHIRP.

Also, can this radio dual watch? Monitor 2 different channels at the same time?

Thanks

I have the Anytone version of this radio. If I use the mic shortcut keys and press “Fun” and then “8”  it takes it out of dual mode into just one channel with the name listed in the upper section and the frequency listed in the lower section.

If you use your programming software, save the current version of your DB20-G setup. I put the date and time in the file name such as DB20-G 202510012300

If I remember correctly, try this:

Press FUN - it should now show the Menu at the bottom of the screen

Using the V/M and MAIN keys, go through the Menu items until you get to 29: DSPCHANNEL

Using the Up and Down keys, change to FREQ

Using the V/M and Main keys again, to to 19:DSPSUB

Using the Up and Down keys, change to FREQ

Press the FUN key to exit the menu system.

If you use your programming software, save this version of the settings.

Let me know if that works for you.

To display both the name and frequency, IIRC you'd set DSPCHANNEL (Menu 29) to Name, and DSPSUB (Menu 19....because that makes sense) to Freq.

As @WRUU653 said, FUN + 8 on the mic takes it in and out of dual mode.

Yes it can _ i use it to watch either 2 GMRS SImplex Frequencies  or 1 GMRS Simplex  and 1 Amateur  repeater.
