Guest Jorge Rodriguez
Does anyone know how the new rules apply to licensing? I still have about three years left on my current license. My question is; with the new rule, does my license get extended to complete 10 years or do I have to re-new when my current license expires on the original five years? Thanks for any help I can get on this issue.
n4gix
You will have to renew. The fee will be the same $70, but the renewal will be good for ten years. The new rules however took effect immediately.

Guest Jorge Rodriguez
Thank you for the information. One issue though, when I got my license at first, I payed $90 online through the FCC site, even when most people commented that it was only $70. Are there any other charges attached to this that I did not know at the time and that's why the extra charges? Jorge GMRS: WQVF267
