Static/ noise with flashers

We are using Midland MXT155 gmrs radios in our farm tractors. Our issue is that one of the tractors has LED flashers.  When the flashers or turn signals are on it causes static/ noise on the radio. Unplug the antenna and the noise quits. I tried 2 different antennas, multiple channels. So I assume the antenna is part of the issue.  Is there any type of filter to help?

Unfortunately, some LED lights are known for this, especially cheap ones.
The antenna is doing exactly what it’s supposed to, collecting RF.  Unfortunately your LED signals are doing what they’re not supposed to, emitting RF. You might be able to put ferrite beads on either or all three of the coax cable from the antenna to the radio, power cable to the radio, or the wires to the flashers (close to the bulbs and close to the other end of the wire running from the controller).  Or you might be able to find an antenna mounting location and power cable location that’s a greater distance from the flashers or the wires that run to them.  If you use a handheld radio and antenna do you still hear the static? You might be able to use the handheld radio to learn where the static is being emitted the strongest.

Steve Shannon. Thanks for the input. I don’t think it bothers the handheld but I will try it.
