Mrosario135 Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 WSKM559 Hi everyone! I’m new to the hobby and just installed a Midland MTX575 in my truck. The TX/RX code system was a bit annoying to deal with, so I built a small app for myself. I’ve now made it public so everyone can use it, and I no longer have to keep flipping through the booklet to find the right codes. If you have any tips or suggestions let me know. Thank you https://midlandfrequencyfinder.com/ Elmo777, WRZK526, SteveShannon and 3 others 6 Quote
WRTC928 Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 Good job! I don't know why Midland can't just use direct entry of the code like almost everyone else does, though. TrikeRadio 1 Quote

I guess they think they are making it simpler by just numbering them... and I guess for some users who ONLY use Midland radios (Brand loyalty?) it would be easy to say tone 10... but yeah, nobody else refers to tones or codes like that. My first GMRS Hts were Midland... and well.. I don't buy that brand anymore for that on particular reason. Quote

My Garmin is set to channel 7, tone 6. PRadio 1 Quote
WRZK526 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I use Midlands and yes their instructions kind of suck and could be written much simpler. I just made my own "cheat sheet" that goes step by step and let my wife use it to program the MXT275 that I put in her truck. She was able to do it without much problem. I have the 575 and 275 and just got the GXT 3000. Got a little confused at first with the 3000 but after playing with it figured it out. I have typed out a lot but not all. I am old school and like a folder with everything written out. Then I take a picture of it and have it on my phone for when I am out. Basically I just wrote my own instruction manual. Quote
