My first post on this forum. I am a total newbie but trying to learn. I am trying to reach a repeater in my area. The frequency is 462.650 MHz and based upon my understanding that is a pre-programmed repeater channel on the radio. Is this correct? The input and output tones are showing as “074 DPL”. I have gone to menu 11&13 to set these tones and the options are 74.4 Hz so I am assuming this is the setting? I have also set to 74 and have not had any success. I am not able to enter 074 as it defaults to 74. Since I am not getting any noise, I am assuming that I am not hitting the repeater.
This is my first attempt at trying to reach a repeater so please forgive my ignorance. I have been watching videos and reading all I can, but I am obviously doing something incorrect.
