Extreme Posted March 6, 2021 Report Posted March 6, 2021 Has anyone installed a mobile unit in the newest body F-Series CC Ford? Looking for installation hints. Planning for Kenwood TK-8180 under/behind rear seat with head on remote mount on the dash, 1/4 wave antenna center of roof. I'll visit YouTube as well but hoping someone here might have a write-up of sorts. Thanks. Quote
SteveC7010 Posted March 6, 2021 Report Posted March 6, 2021 Go over to radiorefetence. There’s several recent threads on installs in aluminum bodied Fords. Tons of info and experience there for the reading. Extreme 1 Quote
gortex2 Posted March 6, 2021 Report Posted March 6, 2021 Have 6 NMO mounts in my F150. Same concept. Buy a good NMO. I used seat bolt in back with bracket that hold plywood. Simple and easy. SteveC7010 1 Quote

gortex2 Posted March 7, 2021 Report Posted March 7, 2021 I dont have pictures but there are a ton on RR. Yes radio decks are all bolted to a piece of painted plywood that uses a Steel L bracket to the seat bolts. SteveC7010 1 Quote

Logged right in so obviously signed up for it some time ago then promptly forgot about RR. Quote
