8nannyfoe Posted March 10, 2021 Report Posted March 10, 2021 I have a Midland MicroMobile 105 and as owners of this radio know, it has a unique power cord that plugs into the back of the radio. Its a small plastic adapter that has connects the positive and negative cords to the radio. I have searched around on Amazon and Google and can not find the radio side adapter for this radio. Not the cord itself, but the radio side. I would assume its called the female side? Anyway, does anyone know where I could source this part? Quote
SkylinesSuck Posted March 10, 2021 Report Posted March 10, 2021 I have heard Midland has really good customer service. I'd give them a call. Celt4400 and 8nannyfoe 2 Quote
wayoverthere Posted March 10, 2021 Report Posted March 10, 2021 Did a little digging an turned up some possibilities. Some places call it a 2 pin molex, which turned up this: https://www.amazon.com/2-Circuits-093-Connector-Matched-Hanging/dp/B074LSHTC6 Other sources call it a taimya connector (used in rc and airsoft), which found this: https://www.amazon.com/FLY-RC-2Pairs-Battery-Connectors/dp/B07VL2B5C8/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=tamiya+connector&qid=1615396940&sr=8-5 8nannyfoe 1 Quote

wayoverthere Posted March 10, 2021 Report Posted March 10, 2021 Thank you! I couldn't find it...KUDOS!!Glad to help. I had been looking for one for my mxt115 in the past too, with no luck, but this time google turned up a page of power connectors (with photos) that gave me some new leads. https://helpful.knobs-dials.com/index.php/Common_plugs_and_connectors#DC_connectors.2C_EIAJ_power.2C_coaxial_and_more Quote
Blackmar401 Posted March 10, 2021 Report Posted March 10, 2021 I bought a couple on Amazon and couldn't find the right one. I ended up just getting a different one and cutting all 4 ends and putting on my own connections so I can keep the power cord running where it is if I move the radio temporarily davidrayt 1 Quote
OldRadioGuy Posted March 15, 2021 Report Posted March 15, 2021 digikey.com has a million connectors, but just as importantly, a really good web filter for finding the one you need. You might try them. This type of connector may be called a header or a boxed header. The pin spacing will be very helpful in finding the right one.Measure carefully to see if it's metric or english.
