Radioddity GM-30 programing issue.

I've downloaded their programing software from the website, purchased the programming cable from them, but can't get my device manager to recognize the radio or assign a com port. Any ideas?

Probably need the driver for the cable as well (likely either ftdi or prolific).  They have some instructions in their help center, and a couple driver downloads (under accessories) https://www.radioddity.com/pages/radioddity-qa-bank

I'll second that. I expect the issue is the programming cable, and not the radio. As a Linux user, I haven't had issues with the programming cable, but for those using Windows, there are often issues, particularly with the Prolific (or knockoff) chips. This is a common issue, and pretty well documented on the web.

Thanks folks. This was helpful. Although it was still a bit cumbersome to navigate thru the updates as a novice to windows 10, I was able to make it work and now have the radio programed to my needs. Thanks again for the assistance!

Baofeng BF-888 cable works great.
