taco6513
I would like to set up an APRS IGate to go with my mobile repeater. Are these hard to set up? Is there a complete plug and play version or do you have to build them? Thanks KI5GXD
tweiss3
It's not too bad. You need a radio (power supply, antenna, coax), I used Direwolf on a Raspberry Pi4, you need an audio card, and a way to hit PTT, or use VOX on the radio. This is the writeup I did about my iGate: https://www.ke8owx.com/projects/aprs. Mine is a 2-way, but has digipeating turned off.
gortex2
Search for "5-in-1 NET 51TNC APRS WX/iGate/digipeater/Tracker/TNC/Bluetooth device ham radio" on ebay. Its basically a plug and play TNC. Used for for a bit but my digi doens't have trouble getting to another Igate so sent to to a buddy.
