Greetings all.  Just got my GMRS license, purchased a Midland MXT115 for my Jeep and a couple of Retevis RB27 handhelds.  My daughter and I used the handhelds the other day for the first time while we were out off-roading.  I do have a lot to learn regarding the whole GMRS/ham radio thing though, so I'm hoping to learn a lot here.

Welcome!

I am in central Ohio and use the Johnstown repeaters mostly.  What area of Ohio are you in?  This site has been very helpful for finding repeaters in my area as I move around the state.

(While I don't use repeaters for the majority of my radio use, I've been impressed by the increaded range the repeaters provide.)

Hey all, just grabbed a BTECH V2 to get my feet wet, but have my eyes on another set once I get more into the flow. Near Centerburg here.

Welcome,

Subject to topography, you should be well within the range of the Johnstown repeaters.

In central Oh also. Not much traffic in my area. Canal Winchester.
Need to find a base antenna that is small and can be mounted and not seen by the HOA nazis
