TK 8180 channel name

first post, just got my gmrs license.

i've been learning programming on my tk 8180 but cannot find where to change a setting. i have names for all the gmrs channels not just numbers but after writing to the radio the channel names do not appear on the display.

this is what the help section in the programming software shows: 

You can configure Channel Name. Selected Channel Name can be displayed on the LCD.
If displayed channel number is not easy to identify, Channel Name may be used for the channel selection.

but it doesn't say how to enable it, can anyone please point me in the right direction? thanks

You can try enabling through the option menu window.
