I'm doing a powerbox for a repeater. My question is on the location of the outlets. I'm wanting to put the outlets on the front (red box). I will be using this indoors so at this point I'm not concerned about water intrusion if that is why they mount the outlets on the top. I also have a small trickle charger that will be basically hardwired with this outlet. This will keep the 124whr battery topped off, and all one package. I know the rt97 uses 25w while broadcasting.

What say the hivemind? If it's just not what you'd do, just don't say anything. Thanks. 475ec4840d804cf315ff55a0e28e2cbc.jpg26f4a25904b0cf3bc98a8f0b7cae0259.jpg03a5f69ac2bb3f58fdcae5ca856fa547.jpg

That looks like it would be very convenient.  One reason mounting the panel on the end like that might not be popular is because that’s the end that gets beaten up if using the box as a portable power supply, but if you’re not moving it around that’s not a concern.

How did you propose to connect the repeater to the power box? I would suggest Anderson Power Poles as a way to connect to the box.

At this point cigarette plug. Once I get proof of concept that probably the direction I'll go.

I thought that was probably what that cylindrical socket was on the lower right of the panel.  Let us know how the proof of concept works and what you might do differently on V2.0.
