WRUN231
A regular radio is just not an option in a vehicle that cant be secured. So the Midlands make for a good option. And the installs are so clean. gortex2
gortex2
Looks nice. I miss the space the TJ had there for a jack. the JK has no room. I have no top or doors on the JK and have long given up worrys about someone stealing stuff.
H8SPVMT
Couldn't you put the radio behind the glovebox and route the plug between the box and the console (down low)?
gortex2
Thats basically what I did in the JK. Its behind the console and cord is pulled out around. Would have liked a cleaner install but it works fine for the purpose. I have a CM760 CB that is the same on the other side of the console. And when youre a velcro junkie you stick your CB to your GMRS radio
Wrvq441
How did you mount your antenna to your Jeep and obtain a decent ground plane?

The antennas on both my Jeeps (LJ and JK) are mounted on the tailgate. Not a perfect groundplane but plenty 'good enough'.
