Let’s not open this can of worms again. Putting gmrs on the internet is not allowed. It never was, it isn’t now and I hope it never will be. Any one that still is linking repeaters or putting gmrs on the web is in violation      You want that go to ham.  Gmrs is for having radio while doing an activity, hunting, biking, going to the park, hiking, off roading, farming, road tripping, neighborhood watch…. The list goes on. Zello does not fit into that plan in anyway shape or form.  I highly suggest you read the rules you promised to abide by when you got your license.  You already told the fcc you read and understood them, you might as well actually read them.

Really? Wow.

I’m a member of the North Georgia GMRS network, the largest linked GMRS network in the country, AND they use Zello.

AND they’ve been operating this way for years.

And if it were illegal I’m sure the FCC would have already done something about it.

Connecting the repeaters to Zello does violate the FCCs rules.. But, nobody really cares, including the FCCs, which has never done anything about the hundreds or thousands of internet-linked GMRS repeaters out there.
