WRWR489 Posted April 12, 2023 Report Posted April 12, 2023 I am trying to log in, but it never asks me to sign up. just goes to enter username and password. I am lost please help. Quote
WQOK964 Posted April 12, 2023 Report Posted April 12, 2023 How are you trying to use zello? Computer or phone? Quote
OffRoaderX Posted April 12, 2023 Report Posted April 12, 2023 Are you using the Zello app? IIRC, you can only sign up using the app. Quote
WRWR489 Posted April 13, 2023 Author Report Posted April 13, 2023 Computer, the app takes me straight to the login page, no place to register. Quote
wayoverthere Posted April 13, 2023 Report Posted April 13, 2023 If I get a chance, I'll dig out the laptop a bit later and see if the copy I have offers a "sign up" link. I've seen some discussions that indicated the latest version of the software was aimed more toward the paying users rather than the free users, and removing the option to sign up may be part of that. OffRoaderX Posted April 13, 2023 Report Posted April 13, 2023 I've just confirmed: There is no way to sign-up on the website for a free account. The only way to create a new free account is via the app on either Android or iOS Quote
WRUH992 Posted April 13, 2023 Report Posted April 13, 2023 I downloaded Zello (iOS) after seeing this post. As soon as I opened the app it gave me the option to create a new account. Maybe delete and reinstall? Quote

That said, they seem to have removed this version of the software from the website, and appear to only list the business focused version (with associated subscription fee). I downloaded the PC version of Zello from Zello yesterday (188mb) and couldn't get it to work right or even log in correctly with my existing account. The version you have is only 3.5mb and works like a champ. wayoverthere 1 Quote
WRWR489 Posted April 13, 2023 Author Report Posted April 13, 2023 OK, will have to try the Android phone. I installed the PC one and it never asked me for a sign up, but more annoying is it starts asking me to log in everytime I turn the PC on with no way to do it. I will kill the app in task manager until I figure it out. Quote

Maybe the new version has it hidden in options somewhere? Quote
WRWR489 Posted April 13, 2023 Author Report Posted April 13, 2023 Even if it does, I can't get there until I log in which there is no option to sign up for. Quote
