WRUW515 Posted August 12, 2023 Report Posted August 12, 2023 I have a Wouxun KG-UV9 Series. When I am receiving a transmission, the radio cuts out every few seconds. The RX LED indicator and audio both cut out. They only way I have been able to get this to stop is if I have both the A and B receiver set at the same frequency. Is there a setting I need to change to receive properly without having both A/B on the same frequency? Quote
OffRoaderX Posted August 12, 2023 Report Posted August 12, 2023 Does it do this on every frequency and every signal, or only some? Quote
WRHS218 Posted August 12, 2023 Report Posted August 12, 2023 Are you scanning a priority channel when this is happening? You might try turning off all the scan functions just to see if that changes anything. Does this happen if you turn off TDR? SteveShannon and WRUU653 2 Quote
WRUW515 Posted August 12, 2023 Author Report Posted August 12, 2023 I found the problem thanks to a Facebook user. It was a priority scan problem. After more testing, it would work if I had the other band selected...for example A was priority, but I was receiving on B. If I was receiving on A, and A was the band I had selected, it would cut out. I was having this problem even when not scanning frequencies and it was doing it on all frequencies I tried it on, whether I was listening to a HAM or GMRS frequency. Disabling priority scan solved my problem. pcradio and WRUU653 2 Quote
