NAMING A CHANNEL

Dear Sirs:

I recently purchased the MIDLAND MXT575.  I also am using the MXCO1 Mic which has the screen on it and functionality on it.  I was wondering if I could customize the name of a repeater channel beyond channel "15".  In other words, "S. BUFFALO."  The reasoning is that I may not recall where the repeater is but prefer the name of the town or the region.

I don’t think it does that.

The lack of this very feature is the biggest reason I avoid Midland products. Other than that they are nice radios.

But the good news is it might only have eight repeater channels to memorize.

LOL! Unfortunately that is probably true.

You also can't have two different repeaters programmed in that use the same frequency pair.  You would have to change tones to go back and forth.

There are no memory slots to program additional items into.
