WRZK546
My repeater has a 25 mile radius but the map image seems to show a radius of much less. I have used other sites and know where 25 miles should reach in a straight line and it’s not shown to be covered by the maps generated on myGMRS. Looks to be a good 5-10 miles off. Any ideas? https://mygmrs.com/repeater/8212 GP62
WRXB215
My first thought was perhaps a radius/diameter issue. But after looking closer, it looks like maybe a typo 15/25. Outside that, I have no clue. BTW, thanks for making this repeater available. I don't go through that area much but it's nice to know it there when I do. gortex2
Why worry about it. If it works further than map shows thats a plus.
quarterwave
Just set the circle where it actually works, I had to do mine that way.
WRUE951
the radius map really serves no purpose because it doesn't factor in elevation issues like trees, mountains, hills building. etc.. Seat-of-pants testing will be your best bet..
WRZK546
Understand it’s just a reference image. Just odd it’s not accurate for something so simple. Wasn’t sure if it was just me or a common issue.
GreggInFL
Any way we could get elevation data for a repeater's antenna? Would help when plugged into SCADAcore.
CALO50
I’ll add… A “check box” on each repeater profile that indicates the “user" has entered its setting into a radio profile, followed by a user version of the map that can simultaneously display all the cover circles for that radio profile.
