I recently purchased two TIDradio T8’s I frequently use a few Gmrs channels (14 &16) but with different privacy codes.

i tried programming them into an empty memory (Chanel 16 to mem 40) but every time I do it creates an offset I tried using the app & chirp is is there a way to set it with out the offset?

interesting that chirp won't let you remove the offset. I have never seen that before. I have to ask and I'm going to assume the answer is yes but, after you make changes when using chirp do you select upload to radio so that the changes get copied over to the radio?

With GMRS radios, everything above 22 is assumed to be a repeater.

Yup on the vast majority if not all.  That’s why I won’t buy any gmrs radio.  I refuse to be locked down

Interesting…I would think that you could take out the offset though.  But I guess if you do that you’re just making another simplex on the same frequency.
