I'm super new to GMRS radios, just got a license. I got one because I'm tired of the crappy FRS/cheap radios not working well and they just suck. I never imagined how enormous the 2-way radio universe was. I'm in AZ and I do a lot of riding, camping, hunting, etc. near Young and around the Sierra Ancha area. This country is very mountainous and I'm looking for the best way to communicate with family members while we're out. Repeaters? I got a pair of TID Radio H8's for Father's day and I know NOTHING about how to make this work... Any help specific to my area would be great. I'm reading and learning a lot about this, but it's overwhelming at the moment.
