I hear a repeater, but dont find listed on MyGMRS

I hear a very strong repeater (Repeater channel 22) in the San Fernando Valley area. It mite be LA 1 Elco 1 W 40 repeater. Is this the repeater saying what type of repeater it is? or is this the name of the repeater group? Most of the time it is in Spanish only. 

I don't find it listed in repeater search

Not all repeaters are listed.  Elco1 or LA1 are the name of the repeaters

The option is to scan for repeaters on a scanner or other capable radio. I say this, but am yet to start such a scan on my SDS100.

That’s la echo 1.  Yes it’s all Spanish all the time.  It id’s it self every 4 min and it runs waaaaay over power.

The site guidelines (see number 8 ) ask that tones not be posted outside of the private area and tones that are not listed need to be obtained from the owner of that repeater on the repeater map site of mygmrs. You’ll need to send a request to the owner if the repeater isn’t open and tones are not posted.
