What is this part that came with my antenna?

This spacer (maybe?) came in the bag with my antenna but there isn't any instructions that came with it.  It would seem that it goes between the radio and the antenna?

Some radios need a spacer to sit correctly.  Some do not.  I’d say compare the new antenna to the original one and see if the new one is longer in the connector area.  After that is going to be trial and error.

Didn’t think of the water seal.

It is soft like rubber or foam.
