WSEA699
Hi all! For some reason my TD-H3 will not register on my SWR meter, all of my other radios do. I have confirmed the radio is transmitting. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Did this somehow screw up my transmit wattage? On TH-H3 I had, when I updated the firmware to fix the squelch tail issue the older firmware had, my wattage out dropped to the point my SW102 could not read it. I could tell that it was transmitting by using another radio. I returned that TD-H3 as fast as I could. I'm now using a Radioddity GM-30 and thrilled with it. 0 OffRoaderX
many SWR meters (for example, the SW-102) won't register anything under 1 or 2 watts.. are you sure you are SECURELY connecting it, and does it have the same fars as your other radios? 0 WSEA699
Hey Randy! It is secured to the point I think I'm going to break it and in regards to fars, that's what I'm trying to determine with the meter as far as output goes. I am testing it on the "High" power channels, 15-22. I checked to make sure all of the channels didn't get changed to "Low" power. Range is good, I could hit a repeater 23 miles away with a good signal. Further testing now shows my fars are much less now after updating the firmware and programming through CHIRP. Did this somehow screw up my transmit wattage? Thanks!
0 WRUU653
Try testing at each of the power output settings. I thought I read somewhere of an issue with high not actually being high after a firmware upgrade. WRHS218 and SteveShannon
0 WSEA699
I'll give that a try first and then I will try doing the firmware update again. Thank you!
0 WSEA699
Tried changing power manually from high to low and back again, no dice. Did the firmware update again using a USB C connector and that sailed through just fine, confirmed with the new firmware number in the radio, still no dice. Another source has recommended that I contact Tidradio and send them a video of the testing and they will send me another radio minus the antenna and battery. I will let you know how that turns out. Thanks! WRUU653
0 LeoG
I had a TD-H3 that wouldn't register on my SW102, it was defective and they replaced it. But it also wouldn't go much more that 1/6th mile for transmitting on high power.

0 LeoG
They usually respond when you have issues. Probably cost them more in shipping than the radio costs them to make. And they haven't asked for the defective one to be returned. One day I'll open mine up to see if it's just a bad solder joint to the antenna connector. 0 WSEA699
Today I received my replacement radio, in fact it was a complete kit. Radio, battery, charging block and cable, antenna and of course the wrist strap. wasn't charged anything so that's pretty good in my book. Cheers!
