Dont quite understand DPL codes.

I have a local repeated that uses DPL 054. I am attempting to set up a Baofeng UV 5G Plus by using the computer programming software. I seem to have two options: one is D054N and the other choice I have is D054I. Not sure what the difference is or which one I would use for the local repeater. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The difference between digital codes that end in N or I is that N is the normal code and I is the inverse of the same code. If it doesn’t specify I, use N.

"N" means "Normal", "i" means Inverted..

DPL/DTC tones are, by default "normal".  So unless it pacifically says "inverted" or "i", then you would always use the "N".
