What are the mechanics of GMRS Nets

I am curious if there is any documentation on how repeaters are interconnected. What kind of hardware and/or software is used and any other details. Unfortunately, I am not in range of any Net connected repeaters, but I'd love to know more about how it all works?

I understand what you're asking, but not sure how to answer your question.  You can find listings if you do a repeater search. Of course, connecting repeaters is somewhat a grey area, due to the FCC Part 95 Rules and Regulations.

When people talking about two-way radios and use the term "net" they are usually talking about a meeting of sorts on the radio. Connected repeaters are usually referred to as "linked" repeaters which are becoming a thing of the past for GMRS in some areas.
