Just curious - does anyone here log their GMRS usage?

I've never considered it but it might make sense if the radio(s) were used in any organized capacity. Public watch or safety, sever weather situations etc.

Good point.  But I was thinking just in general use, similar to a Ham log.  Would be interesting to keep track of who you've talked to - assuming you can find someone to talk to ;-)

If I lived in a populous area with lots of traffic, I'd probably log some contacts just to keep track of everyone.

But I don't live where there is lots of activity so no need to log anything.

However, if I were to run an event with lots of radio traffic, I'd definitely keep an log but that would not be for contacts but rather for requests, etc.

Hmmm...at least I could remember their call signs. I used to hear two guys come on the air at exactly 23:15 every night on 462.675 and talk for ten minutes (in Russian)! They were like clockwork for about a month and then disappeared completely. A log book would have helped me to keep better records in that case. My base antenna is up about 40 ft and I could barely hear them so the could have been anywhere.
