WRKS933 Posted October 25 Report Posted October 25 I constantly hear clear loud traffic on rpt 462.7000. In listening to it for sveral weeks I learned the repeater is right next to the UPS hub in Longwood, FL. Well.... I'm in Longwood but this repeater is not lited in mygmrs.com!! How can I find it? I'm looking for permission and CTST. Does Anyone know abouthis channel? It may be refered to as Orlando 700. Thanks, Jim Quote
Socalgmrs Posted October 25 Report Posted October 25 Check the other book web site. For gmrs repeaters. If it’s not there and no one here can help do you have other repeaters in the area you can start talking on and geting involved with. Then ask some one? Quote

WSFB234 Posted October 26 Report Posted October 26 I am also getting a good signal on 462.7000 but I am in Clermont, not sure if it is the same repeater. Tried to find any info about 462.7000 but nothing! They are not on MyGmrs neither RepeaterBook. I appreciate any inputs. Quote
WRXL702 Posted October 26 Report Posted October 26 GMRS Repeater Owners Are Not Required To List On Any Web Site. I Suggest You Monitor - Catch A Call Sign Or Two - An Attempt To Find The Repeater Owner For Access...... Good Luck. gortex2 1 Quote
WSFJ375 Posted October 28 Report Posted October 28 I also receive 462.700 in Longwood very well in Sanford. I can't find the tone to respond. I'm setup at 462.700 up 5mhz. The repeater isn't in the repeater book. I'm new to GMRS and assume it works something like amateur radio. In amateur radio on some repeaters there is a verbal announcement with the tone frequency announced. I gather this is an open repeater once we can get the tone. Quote

You can scan for the output tone and try it for the TX tone. Many repeaters use the same tone on input and output. Or you can get closer to the repeater and listen on the input frequency and scan for the input tone. Quote
