ShaneHester Posted October 30 Report Posted October 30 Does anyone know if there is an option to change the GM-30 Plus to just display a single channel. I’ve checked the manual and searched online and can’t find anything. hoping maybe someone might know something I don’t…. Which is a lot! Quote
GreggInFL Posted October 30 Report Posted October 30 I have a GM - 30. The very last menu item is "Sync". If you turn it "on" the screen displays the title and frequency of one channel only. There are still two lines, but for only one channel. Try that; can't promise that it will work for the Plus version. SteveShannon and WRUU653 2 Quote
Socalgmrs Posted October 30 Report Posted October 30 It’s called dual watch. It’s menu option 15 a believe. Just turn dual watch to off. . Many people just put both an and b on the same channel. SteveShannon 1 Quote
ShaneHester Posted October 30 Author Report Posted October 30 I turned Dual Watch off and that didn't change anything. I also do not have 'sync' listed in the radio settings menu. Quote
Socalgmrs Posted October 30 Report Posted October 30 Dual watch is the option to turn that off. And sync on should have tied both top and bottom the same. Have you tried programming on a computer? if that doesn’t work chalk it up to another radioditty with messed up software and send it back if possible. Quote
WSFJ540 Posted October 30 Report Posted October 30 Turning off Dual Watch only prevents listening to both channels at the same time. Your question seemed to ask if the screen could be changed to only show one channel instead of two - which the answer is no, this model appears to have the dual frequency display as a feature. Maybe a different radio might work better for you? Quote

WRYZ926 Posted November 10 Report Posted November 10 Here are the instructions from the manual. Quote Enabling or disabling Dual Watch mode (1) Press the [MENU] key to enter the main menu. (2) Enter 3 on the numeric keypad to get to Radio Settings. (3) Press the [MENU] key to confirm, enter 15 on the numeric keypad to get to 15 Dual Watch. (4) Press the [MENU] key to select. (5) Use the or keys to enable or disable. (6) Press the [MENU] key to confirm. (7) Press [EXIT] to return to the previous menu. The dual watch function is turned on, and the icon 'D' is displayed on the top line of the screen. ·Repeat the above operation, select "OFF", the dual watch function is disabled, and the icon 'D' on the top line of the screen disappears. Note: When the dual watch function is turned on, the icon 'D' is displayed on the screen, and the "Singal Mode" submenu is automatically shielded in the radio setting menu. After the dual watch is turned off, the radio setting menu will automatically add "Singal Mode". After turning on the single display mode, the radio will display the channel name, frequency and channel sequence on the same screen. That should work. Most other radios will have a TDR setting to go from dual to single channel display. But I could not find any reference to TDR in the GM-30 Plus manual. https://radioddity.s3.amazonaws.com/Radioddity_GM-30_PLUS_User_Manual_2024_08_02.pdf Quote
