WRYZ926 Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 Here is a good video about FCC enforcement. Granted the idiot deserves what he gets for interfering with firefighters trying to put out a forest fire. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJZroDsXBrA amaff and Whiskey363 2 Quote

Some articles include the fact that he’s a ham in the headline, but that had nothing to do with the fact that he was disrupting their communications on 151 MHz and attempting to redirect firefighting resources. I would have loved to see the interaction when the official drove over to his location and clarified things. I have absolutely no sympathy for this jerk. He’s the kind of guy that reflects poorly on all hams. amaff, WRYZ926, Whiskey363 and 4 others 7 Quote
WRYZ926 Posted January 7 Author Report Posted January 7 I totally agree and I am glad to see the FCC not reducing his fines. Guys like that make all of us look bad. Quote
Hoppyjr Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 That guy is clearly an idiot and forgot a basic rule of life: stay in your lane. SteveShannon 1 Quote

73blazer Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 It wasn't in the order(s). And he's still listed in the FCC database with an active HV (Ham vanity) license. He didn't violate any HAM rules technically so that makes some sense I guess. SteveShannon 1 Quote

For what it's worth, when I read violations like this, I don't paint all hams with the same brush, I blame only the violator, I know that others may not feel the same way, but personally, I blame only the bad apple, not the entire tree Just my .02 73 WRTC928, WRYZ926, WRUU653 and 2 others 4 1 Quote
