I just got a pair of TD-H3s and I want to set up my channel b to be monitor only. I don't want to be able to accidentally transmit on that channel. Is this possible?

Apparently if you program the channels higher than 54 they’re all RX only.
But most of the software used has the ability to inhibit TX on a per channel basis.

I don't think you can set channel "B" ( I assume you mean the lower channel on teh display?) to always be RX only. setting individual channel memory slots up to be RX only is possible (if you place them in slots above 54 (on the GMRS MODE) they will always be RX only. Also non-GMRS frequencies that you enter while in GMRS mode will also be RX only. but there is no way to make a saved channel that will transmit to be RX only just because it is in the lower of the two displayed channels. That is not the function of the A and B display.

I set 154.57125 in channel 53 in GMRS mode and for some reason it seems to transmit.  Not sure if it actually does.  But the red light comes on and there is no tone from the speaker like I usually hear when it tells you that the frequency is out of range.  It's the channel WalMart uses in my area.

Great job reading and understanding the actual question, something I failed to do.

The button that activates "B" channel is a "pf1" or "pf2"function button isnt it? Can you go into OD MASTER and adjust what this button does so it no longer transmits? Or maybe make it do a different task? Just thinking outloud here. I'm not sure if its possible. I too think it would be nice to disable that button, as its super easy to accidentally transmit on the wrong PTT on this particular radio.
