Question

Hello everyone,

I own a Wouxun KG-935G Plus radio and  bought a Baofeng UV-9G for back-up and for  my wife to use.

It was working fine until yesterday when the battery got low it starting making a noise. Now it doe not receive or transmit.

Any ideas on what this could be?

Thank you.

My guess is the battery needs to be charged.  Did you charge the battery back up?

On a different note, Can you tell me if the 935G has a Mic Gain setting Or a Squelch tail setting in the menu ?  I'm curious, because it's two features I wish they would have included in the 935H. Two different radios, I know but still similar.

I gave you an up-vote. SoCalGMRS voted you down just so he wouldn’t be at the bottom.
The word “Gain” doesn’t appear in the manual for the 935g.
Squelch tail is referred to in menu #51, aka RPT-TONE. Here’s what it says: Enables or disables the squelch tail sent to the receiving radio.

Ok, thanks for that Steve. I'll look at #51 and see if it makes any difference. My 935 H has a real obvious tail, even with the squelch up to 9. 👍

Yup battery was low.  Did you charge it? I run 15 uv9 radios and they die every day.  I’m have not had one problem with any of them in many years.  Even the ones the get left out in the snow or 120deg days.
