Plug in the programming cable. Open the software (it should still be in English). Read from the radio. Open up the Edit menu. Choose Function Setup. Menu Language is the third selection on the right column of the Function Setup dialog. Change it to English (the middle selection). Write to the radio. It’s super easy IF your already programming in a computer like most don’t do. No, people don’t really come looking for advice. They really just want to see how useless you can be. It’s entertainment. It’s probably the best and easiest solution… still @dosw’s post of $5 online Cantonese tutors could be effective after some effort and time and shouldn’t be discounted. SteveShannon 1 Quote

There's no menu option on the radio to change the language, I believe it can only be done through the programming software. My guess is you mis-clicked an option. Should be easy enough to switch it back. SteveShannon, WRUU653 and WSGL345 3 Quote
0 dosw Posted 21 hours ago Report Posted 21 hours ago Some instructions online say that holding down the V/M button while turning on the radio will initiate a factory reset, though that doesn't seem to be documented in the manual. The manual says this: If you follow the method in the manual you'll need to be able to read Chinese. You don't, but Google Translate does: I pointed my phone with Translate running, and captured an image with and without the translation happening: It's not perfect, but certainly good enough to comprehend a Chinese menu system in the radio. I love how "My DB20-g menu has switched to Chinese" as if it did it all by its lonesome sitting in the car while you slept. Hey, we've all done it. No shame! Of course we haven't established that a factory reset actually will reset the language. If it doesn't, your best option may be the programming software made for that radio, as Amaff described. Quote

That question gave me work PTSD The customers I've worked with have never once in recorded history made a change to their equipment before it started working improperly. Sometimes, they never made a change even after we hold their hand and show them the evidence of the change they made wrci350, WRUU653, SteveShannon and 1 other 4 Quote
