A mag mount Midland ghost antenna may be the best bet. You can move it easily or it will get nocked off vs breaking. And you can buy 4-5 of them for the price of a heavy duty one.

You can get creative with placement depending on the skid steer as well.

Midland and others make off road antennas.  I have abused the heck out of them with no issues.    AND they don’t need a ground plane like a ghost or mx26

I thought you hated Midland..

I regret to say I haven’t mounted it yet, but will start with a ghost antennae.

I really like the Ghost. It performed much better than I expected it to. It does seem like a good choice for heavy equipment.

All of the Ghost antennas i've tested (more than just one brand) all performed better than the UT-72G antennas I tested them against .. that should give a baseline that they aren't as bad as "some people" repeatedly claim.
