As do I!! Considering we hang out on Friday nights on the moline repeater, it just makes sense that the get together be somewhere in that area considering it would be centralized. Let me know if there is any way I can help with setup and whatnot. I'm on the fb page as hrly whting

Ken (WSCW958) and I just discussed this last night after the net and are hoping to put together an event soon for people to meet up. We will be posting something on this group page and the facebook page for people to select their available times and suggest a place to meet! I think meeting in the Moline area is a great idea!

Gadget? Probably another radio when I already had one, I like having options though!!

I realize I'm very new to the group and have only had my license for less than two months but what do any of you think about possibly renting a pavilion at a park near Moline for people to come hang out and meet face to face? It would be cool to meet everyone and put faces to callsigns. I've done a little bit of googling and the closest park with a pavilion seems to be Bysterveld County Park near Wayland. I've chosen this park because it would be relatively central for any and all who regularly use the Moline repeater and would like to attend. A half day rental is $80 and there are morning and evening time slots. a half day morning is from 8a until 1:30p and afternoon rentals are from 2p until 8p. I'm more than willing to throw in $20 towards the rental should we decide to do this. I'm also open to other ideas on other parks. Especially one's with grills and I could possibly bring a full-size propane grill if need be. Please let me know what you think!! Harley

Hello everyone my name is Mark WRWN809 I thought i would start a introduction thread. I live in Kentwood and I am the owner of the Kentwood 462.675 repeater and founder of West Michigan GMRS. I am also Net control for the West Michigan GMRS Friday night net and Kent county Skywarn Liaison and Net control during severe weather on the WMTG Moline 462.600 repeater. Currently use a Wouxun KG1000G+ paired with a Comscope DB420.
