  2. So far I have not heard any chatter or activity over the past few days on any of the local repeaters or simplex. But the protests and rioting behavior has been pretty much just in a small few blocks in downtown LA, not all over the city and cities in the area so if there is any simplex traffic I am probably to far away to hear it anyway.

  4. I seemed to have misplaced your email Steve, but here is a Net Outline for next week. I'll provide them for a bit until we have more people and think most are comfortable with it. 20250611_GMRS Net Outline.docx
  5. I am planning to make this a regular thing when I am available, which should be most weeks for the foreseeable future. Hopefully more of you can make it to future nets. I'll also announce that if anyone else would like to take over net control, I'm happy to step aside and give someone else the experience. Steve, could you make another post for the net next week?
  6. I probably will just out of curiosity.
  7. Thanks guys. I just placed the order for the H along with the programing cable.

  13. I found the thread where I posted my power output results with the Q10H. It is in this thread. about the 935G https://forums.mygmrs.com/topic/9435-kg-935h-power-results/#comment-98687 I tested mine on high power and not ultra high. I always forget that the Q10H has the ultra high setting. 2m - 4.43 watts 1.25m - 2 watts 70cm - 5.9 watts 6m - 1.5 watts GMRS - 3.5 watts MURS - 1.5 watts I have never used or tested the ultra high setting on my radio. As Steve mentioned, 1-1.5 watts is not going to make a difference.
  14. The difference between 4 watts and 5.5 watts is only discernible on a watt meter. It’ll make no difference to range. Just make sure you get the features that you want.
  15. It looks like the KG Q10H is the one I'm going to buy. At 5.5 watts for GMRS, that's the way to go.
  16. WRUU653. Thanks so much for posting those results. You made my day. BTW, I lived on the Central Coast for 33 years... Atascadero. Moved to ID 3 yrs ago.
  17. That would be greatly appreciated. And thanks for the response.
  18. I will have to find the other thread where I posted the output power levels on all band with my unlocked Q10H. From what I remember, they are similar to what @WRUU653 posted.
  19. Yep, using the same playbook again.
  20. Really? Remember this?

I contacted him for you. We'll see what happens.

So is there any other way of contacting the owner besides FB, thats kind strange to only use that as a means of communication. I haven't had great success getting my access to my account since it was disabled in Nov of last year. I don't use it much so I was a bit confused as to why. So if there is any other way to request access please let me know, thanks
  23. Here were my results KG-Q10H 2m - 4.5 watts 1.25m - 2.9 watts 70cm - 6.5 watts 6m - 1.1 watts GMRS - 5.5 watts MURS - 4.6 watts also, while similar they are not the same. The Q10H doesn’t do CB.
  24. Probably to make sure the president doesn't get credit for quelling the riots.
  25. No point in trying to have an intelligent conversation with a name-caller!
  26. go back an read my orginal question. in the meant time.. i'm ignoring your crazy azz
  27. Rather than call you names, I will simply point out that no one on this thread, including you, has reported hearing “Los Angeles rioters on GMRS!”
  28. The sheriff didn't do a 180. If they had been in charge from the start it would have been squashed quickly. Totally different mindset between LAPD and the L A County Sheriff.
