  1. Past hour
  2. They can be made to appear in the map view by going to the list view first but there’s either a bug or a poor design that causes problems if you start in map view. I’ll dig up the complaint I turned in. Also, Gil I think found a workaround. Here is my complaint to Rich, which matches what you said:
  3. And also there is the fact that dogs are shit producers.
  4. <sarcasm>Not really </sarcasm >
  5. They do - but they don't show up on the MyGMRS map view and you have to know to select stale and/or offline repeaters in the list view.
  6. Sorry, I didn't notice the emoji. It was my Oops, its there. But you're right sarcasm and tone is hard to express in text.
  7. Unless removed they should still appear when old data is selected.
  8. The two largest and OPEN repeaters in my area are not listed on MyGMRS anymore. After one year of the repeater owner not logging into MyGMRS they get delisted from the map. I've talked to both repeater owners and they told me the same thing - they simply got tired of repeater requests, problems or questions. New users are welcome, both changed the MyGMRS listing to open repeater and listed the tone and don't log into the site anymore so the listings are gone.
  9. hiding an 80' tower from your wife.. your are good.. you need to sell lessons..
  10. I cannot help you with your specific issue with your radio. The only advice I can offer is to purchase another set of radios. As if any of us here actually need a reason to buy more radios.
  11. In the rare times that my wife makes a comment about my recent radio purchase, I remind her that my purchase requires pennies a day to enjoy while her dog is a lot more expensive. That usually shuts down the conversation.
  12. Sarcasm is hard to come across in text, but I thought the laughing emoji at the end of my sentence was enough to signify that I wasn't serious with my statement. Maybe the admin team can create a sarcasm specific font to use???
  13. I'm lucky that my wife doesn't complain about the hobby and the gazillion mobile and portable radios I have. She's used to the fact that I spend my extra money on toys like my 13 cars/truck/Jeep/Golf Car including a couple of racecars and high dollar bicycles. Occasionally, she will help me at one of my radio club functions and use a radio. As I gotten older in age, I have reduced my number of wheeled toys, but not the radios and accessories and tools. The only time she bitches is when we go somewhere in the car and I have the radios on and scanning the channels. She prefers to listen to the XM Radio and not the two-way radios.
  14. This; just ignore it.
  15. Thanks! I will dive into your suggestions.
  16. Today
  17. I understand that. Thank you.
  18. The system will not allow you to send a second request if you already have one in que until a significant amountbof time has passed. I don't know what that time threshold is, but is several months.
  19. Since it'll be put at my shop I'm not sure she will see it anytime soon. She rarely comes here. I could hide it from her except for my exuberance of putting it up.
  20. Not sure if this link will let you in. You are suppose to sign in to get there. https://walkietalkiesoftware.com/portal/index/software_detail/id/68.html
  21. Have you tried it the other way, writing the file that bricked the first three into the fourth to see if it bricks it as well? If it does then you know it’s that file, but at the cost of yet another radio. If it doesn’t then you know you got three bad radios from the dealer. I admire persistence.
  22. You can't use chirp to update the firmware. You need their IAP program.
  23. just tell her is wind generating tower and you have to build it in 'phaes'
  24. Exactly! The rules limit certain aspects of the use, but leave it up to us to imagine how we might benefit from it.
  25. I have 1 working tdh3 that has the same version as the 4 non working tdh3’s. I have opened that radio in chirp and then downloaded that file into the other tdh3’s and still no joy. I have programmed multiple radios through chirp and have never had an issue. I appreciate everyone reaching out. I will try downloading new firmware or updating the firmware. Reset on the menu and ptt + star + power on resets have not helped.
  26. Although I don’t have TDH3 radios, I agree that it sounds like whatever you’re doing with Chirp is causing them to cease transmitting. I assume you looked at the column in chirp that enables transmitting and it’s set appropriately. And you say that a full factory reset does not return the radios to being able to transmit? I would recommend returning them for a refund and getting something else.
