  1. Thank you for all your help today Jay, it's appreciated. Can you please take a quick look at the images below and tell me if I entered the info in CHIRP correctly? Just want to make sure I have the tones configured right. Thank you! Eric

It looks like you have everything programed for the tone and + offset but I have never used chirp or programmed a baofange so I'm probably not much help there.

Thanks, just making sure I put the tone in the right place and that it was for Tone Squelch.

Sorry but I'm not sure on that. There's a guy on the chain of lakes repeater that is a wiz on the chirp program. I believe he's callsign and name is WRDL342 Moe. I'm sure you could find him on here.

  2. Thanks Jay, I've got a request in to be able to use this repeater. Great info Jay, thank you!
  3. So looking at the information in the mygmrs database, did I enter it in Chirp correctly?
  4. And there we go, looks like I'm getting the Batavia repeater. I'm on the Northern edge of its estimated range. Yes, I can always hear it. Thank you!
  5. First post here so I'm sorry if the answer is really obvious. I'm picking up a conversation on GMRS 62 which is the 462.625 repeater between a guy in Bababoo, WI a guy in Maryland and a guy in Indiana. I'm kind of in the middle in Northern IL. There are no repeaters near me using that frequency according to repeaterbook.com. Can someone please explain to me how I'm able to hear their conversation. I'm listening on a Baofeng UV-5R with a Signal Stick antenna. Thanks for any help.
