I was watching this YouTube video while eating my dinner. The fellow was testing a radio that claimed that it was waterproof. He then fished the radio out of a yellowish-filled toilet. Good spaghetti tastes good on the way up also.

I can't believe this, how could he have done this? Choosing a very overpriced limit function GMRS radio over his high-quality Kenwood radio. This overpriced radio comes from a company that also sells a 128-channel FRS radio. So you have to wonder. Why my friend? Hello Hello Hello

7/21/2024 Today I was in range of the Notarubicon repeater. My radio (20-watt Ocean) was set to use this repeater. I also had a 5-watt Ocean set to the repeater channel. I didn't hear anyone using the repeater so I TX trying to reach my friend Randy, but heard no reply from him. What could he have to do on a Sunday other than to talk with me? I know I was transmitting cuss the HD unit picked up the TX (bleedover). Your thoughts are most welcome.

I hear a very strong repeater (Repeater channel 22) in the San Fernando Valley area. It mite be LA 1 Elco 1 W 40 repeater. Is this the repeater saying what type of repeater it is? or is this the name of the repeater group? Most of the time it is in Spanish only. I don't find it listed in repeater search Thank you

I hear this strong (like next door) repeater. Maybe it is "LA Elco 1 W 40" Most of the day it is Spanish only. Any info on this repeater?

It doesn't matter much cuss there is no one out there. GMRS is just like CB for me. I only made ONE (1) up/down contact so far. -

This dozer was featured in Popular Mechanics magazine. One could build it from plans, it's drive system was pullies and belts. Later the company that sold the plans started selling attachments and later dozer kits. Over the years the dozer got bigger. I was a member of a FB group for this mini dozer. Sorry for my English

It seems that I should of wired my radio right to the battery. Instead i use the cigar lighter and the radio only puts out 20 watts (YT reviewer of the radio said this). Buy what about when I plug it into my Jackery power devise? Is the radio still only putting out 20 watts?

As a Anytone 779 (re-badged Radioddity and Retevis included) can be jail break, switch back to HAM units. How would I do it with a Wouxun 905?

Crestline shows that it's coverage is 3.2 miles and I'm out of there area. Club650 is in my area and mite be the repeater that i hear every afternoon and into the early evening. Just like they were sitting next to me. So as not being a troll, I guess that is it until next month. I do thank you for your help

The repeater I hit today was VNC575 / Topanga, CA 462.575. I was just North of the Glendale business district. The upset fireman was from my very first contact, that being Mt Wilson 462.600. But what repeater is on Channel 27 RPT 19 also heard on GMRS channel 19? Thank You all for your help.

My mobile is a 20 watt Ocean and a today I had a Ocean 905G with a adapter to a Nagoya GMRS tunes antenna. The repeaters that I try to hit each outing are MT Disappointment ( 462.600 ) , MT Harvard ( 462.625 ) , 725 Round Table ( 462.725 ) , Mt Wilson (462.600 ) mostly blocked by mountains if near home. VNC575 ( 462.575 ) hit this repeater today! I think part of my problem is that I'm to close to the base of the mountains.
