I have never used the Radiodity software. I've only used Chirp and Wouxun software. Doesn't sound very user-friendly
-
Good catch. I'm used to programming my own custom channels and leave the standard channels like they are.
-
It looks good to me. Have you tried setting the Difference Feq Direction to +5 ? Part of me says that shouldn't matter since the TX freq is already set appropriately.

Video for Baofeng "Some People" think their radios are junk and this video is "right to the point"

Both in/out should be D131N as far as I know. I don't use the Radiodity software so, make sure you're setting the TX to +5 for the offset. Some programs like Chirp, you have to enter the correct offset in the specific column. Some software like the Wouxun has the TX colum where you just pick the correct TX freq. Even then if you "fat finger" it, you can set the wrong TX freq by accident. Uploading a screenshot of your program will help too

I'm a little confused as to why I still see this on the homepage with a Premium membership. Both of these show up on the map page at the bottom and the radio advert shows up on other pages as well.
-
Yeah I don't have any trouble with Chirp either
-
I have the 778UV

Ok, Ok, now you're talking my language. I sat here on the computer looking at the map, tracking down repeaters between my home and my Army reunion, and then manually entering them into my software. But I see that you mentioned Chirp. I'm running Wouxun (Ocean) HT's and they use their own software. I have an AnyTone mobile that is Chirp compliant but it's not GMRS compliant

$5 is pretty cheap to help support the #1 GMRS website in the world. I don't know that I'll be creating any clubs; well now that I think about it, maybe I will for our area. I've looked around the website and we don't have clubs close to our geographical area. I'll have to look into these download extracts. I don't know what they are.

Thank you. I saw your first post on this topic but hadn't seen an answer. I've been debating the Premium route just to avoid the adverts, . I did find that Premium could post in the classifieds; that's where I would've posted my batteries. Guess I'm going to have to man up and level up, lol

I'd give you a "Thanks" but I've hit my limit for the day on thanking people

I just got this notification today. I figured it was a limitation of the free members until I found this thread. Kinda weird having a limit on being able to "like" comments well emojis still work

Ok, I'm confused now. First I thought these were not worth giving away now I see comments that make it sound like they could benefit someone. I'll leave this post up for a while. If it gets someone's attention and they want this stuff, great. If not, so be it. I apologize if I should've known whether these batteries are worth anything. I see guys talking about using Motorola's and thought I would give you guys the opportunity to get them before I trash them. No harm no foul either way.
-
Yeah probably. Although the one with the green label isn't that old and I have another one....somewhere. I hated to trash them if they could be of use to someone. Sounds like they're quite obsolete

Headrest speaker mount from Lido Mounts. I have dual hearing aids and had my previous speaker mounted in my previous vehicle above the seatbelt on the B pillar. Trying to keep this vehicle a little bit cleaner looking for all my installs. Speaker from Wally World. Sadly the wire is only 5 ft long and had to go to the right side of the seat so it would reach my mobile.

2021 Nissan Titan Pro-4X. This was the same spot as my Armada. The biggest difference is on the Armada, I had to take apart the center console to run my wires. Thankfully the Titan has the column shifter so the center console here, is void under the bottom. I had to modify the bottom of the console tray to allow the wires to come through. Speaker mic is mounted on the face of the dash with a magnet mic. Here is a rough YT video explaining the installation process Install process

I have some Motorola HT1000 batteries and a charger that I'd love to pass on to someone. I feel like I have 1 or 2 more somewhere and I offer no guarantee they still charge up. All I ask is you donate a little to cover some of the shipping.

Wouxun KG-905G $99. The only other accessory you will need will be a programming cable I'm not an affiliate but click on this link

I think that if you list your repeater on this website, you want people to use it, either openly or with permission. If you want it strictly for family access, why would it be listed on here? (That was just a rhetorical question) 2 weeks is ample time to respond. Other requests have been approved within a day or two. So it's not like these requests go to Spam. Ignoring requests is not respectful. It's counterconducive to the GMRS community. A new user to the radio world joins and requests access to their local repeater and gets no response gives the impression that GMRS repeater owners are snobs. Why would a new user find that encouraging and want to continue in the hobby?
-
It's not a complaint that they haven't given permission, but rather the lack of a response, whether it be yes or no. It's more about these individual's lack of intestinal fortitude and maturity to give a simple yes or no. It's shows a lack of respect. If you are going to have a repeater listed on this website with the Request Access button turned on, be respectful and either approve or deny requests to your repeater in a timely manner. The reason for these requests is for the PL Tone of the repeater, otherwise we can use simplex and makes the repeater a moot point.

Should I remove channels 8-14 from my radio? (Kenwood TK-372G)
brasda91 replied to ElectricXpert's question in Technical Discussion
.05 watts?? Do you have to be standing on a repeater? -
Yes "main" notifies you of which area you're currently using. And after some testing I believe you and @radiozipare correct as to it showing the last area that was active. This is some relief. This radio is more advanced than my 905G. When I programed it at work the other day, I wasn't able to hit the usual repeater and I was sure I had a setting wrong. Well once I switched to my Nagy 771 antenna and got outside, all was well. To say the advancement of this radio over the 905G has had me in anxiety, and I don't get anxious for anything, is saying something.
