  1. Not for me. Running Win10 and the CPS will not load whether the programming cable is plugged in or not, lacking a dll, the name of which escapes me. Not mention of this issue on the Retevis site and nowhere to d/l the needed dll
  2. Does Motorola still enforce their hold/rights on software for discontinued radios as you said these are?
  3. I sent you a PM via MyGMRS regarding this. Thanks.
  4. The radio was 'confused'. I did a reset/restore from the menu and it's fine now. Scanning works now as I had thought it would. Next up, scanning the WX stations, LOL... Thanks!
  5. Would anyone know about the scan function on the MXT500? Nothing appears to happen when I press the button....no screen change, for example, and I don't see anywhere that you have to add just certain channels to a scan bank. The tone jingle is the same every time you press SCAN, not giving an indication of 'on' or 'off'. It's odd.
  6. Thanks....odd that I searched that very database and nothing came up except ham repeaters. And I specified GMRS. Thanks again for the info!!
  7. Yes, it was 675 (20). I didn’t want to go further without knowing if the repeater required permission, so I was just trying to find a listing of it somewhere with details, but so far no luck. It was all friendly chatter with use of call signs. I’d guess the ones I heard were also hams by the radio etiquette. Thanks for the info. Any idea where I might find any further?
  8. I've just recently gotten on board with GMRS. I'm hearing repeater activity from my location near Des Moines, but I find no listing for the repeater, so I don't know if it's private or otherwise about access. I'm just hearing general conversation. The repeater does a Morse ID, but I'm not able to copy it. Anyone have any information to share? Thanks!
