No, it’s not browser related. I didn’t change my password thru the alert page. I went to my profile and re-set my password and the alert disappeared. A browser would not know to do that.

GMRS Radios For Rescue And Recovery In Iran
WRUE951 replied to tcp2525's topic in General Discussion
I don't think Iran ever did depend on the U.S. for anything electronic.. China and Russian has been their main supplier and that doesent appear to be changning anytime soon.. -
Kind of a weird notice. I’m curious what the time out factor is set at.. I’ve been here close to four years and that was a first. I went to my profile and changed it there and used the same password.

I talk 90 miles with a J-Pole for a remote portable repeater mounted on a fibergalss RV. Just as good as my Midland whip mounted on my truck roof.. Performace wise and depending on they type of no ground plane antenna, there is no difference.. Some no-ground plane antennas peerform pretty bad, just as some ground plane whip... Do some research on your antenna choice and see if you can get some perfoamce tips

I see that.. He did register 16 different coordinates for each site, probably 5-10 feet apart. If you filter out the last name you find overall they have 35 repeaters. Hella set up and no doubt range. And investment GMRS Repeaters ver 7_30_25.pdf

I think California is gonna win that one

I'll get right on that...

Wow,,,,, Checking the new report today... WRZC921 added 16 repeaters this week.. That's being very busy.. Hell that would take me a week just to add them into the database.. Is this for real??

Antenna mount for 2025 Jeep Gladiator Mojave?
WRUE951 replied to WRTC928's topic in General Discussion
i used a cowl mount on my JK that worked well. Check out Cool-Tech, i belive that have one for the Gladiator. -
I used to use ARC but i lost my account access when i retired 3 years ago.. Now i use a KML version of this data base for repeater access info etc, which also works great on the mobile app.

Coax size between repeater and duplexer
WRUE951 replied to Defender92's question in Technical Discussion
Yup,, pretty much what you see used for Repeaters with Duplexers built into them. . Keep the lengths as short as possible, defiantly no longer than 3' -
Mine was at 274.32 Meters

Base station temporary setup questions for antenna mounting
WRUE951 replied to WSIU940's question in Technical Discussion
When choosing between horizontal and vertical polarization for GMRS antennas, vertical polarization is generally preferred. This is because GMRS is primarily a mobile and portable radio service, and most mobile and portable antennas are vertically polarized. Therefore, repeaters are also typically equipped with vertically polarized antennas. Using a horizontally polarized antenna to communicate with vertically polarized antennas on repeaters, mobiles, and portables can result in a loss of signal. This is due to the mismatch in polarization, which can lead to reduced signal strength and potentially poor communication quality. If you are considering a horizontally polarized antenna, it would be most effective if all other stations you are communicating with also use horizontal polarization, which is more common in fixed links rather than in mobile or portable setups. In a line-of-sight situation with a direct, unobstructed path to the repeater antenna, a horizontally polarized antenna might offer more gain. However, this potential gain must be weighed against the likelihood of encountering mixed polarization in the field, which can negate any benefits. For general GMRS use, sticking with a vertically polarized setup is recommended to ensure compatibility and optimal performance with the existing infrastructure and other users' equipment. If you are setting up a base station and are concerned about antenna polarization, it is also important to consider the height and placement of the antenna. Antenna height is often more critical than the length or type of antenna used. A higher antenna can provide better coverage and signal strength, which can be more beneficial than the polarization type in many scenarios. -
been working fine since yesterday afternoon..

its been working fine since yesterday afternoon

i defiantly would rather have a radio that i can program for many frequencies versus a cell phone. I remember the big earthquake we had her in 2019 and our cell service brought to its knees. Radio comms were working great and pretty busy.

im on a 1 Gig fiber service with RACE and a Starlink back up. My 1 GIG is free, part of my retirement agreement with another company. I've noticed this a couple times today. Tried clearing the cache etc. I think its some HTML issues with whoever he uses to host the site..
