My DB25-G won't go below 5W, for example; won't even key up on 8-14. Channels 15+ let everyone play with whatever power they have available. WRUU653 1 Quote

Feels like I'd want to stay off of the repeater channels that are likely to be pretty busy in the event of A Situation for local comms. But maybe you're in an area without much repeater traffic. Ah, I see your point. Yeah, we're semi-rural central Florida and the only repeater that can reach here is 700, so simplex on 550 should be clean. amaff 1 Quote
