We are installing an Icom 4100 in a vehicle. The mic attaches to the main unit which is under the seat. The control head has no mic attachment. And of course the mic cord is too short. Icom's extension is $75. Since the mic has an RJ-45 (8pin) modular can I use a standard Cat 6 extension (or a cable with a coupler attached) or do I need the Icom cable?
