BTECH GMRS-50X1 | Setting Up Repeaters

Hi All! I am trying to set up repeaters in my new radio and having issues. I can easily set up repeaters within the existing preset repeater channels but setting them up outside of the presets is not working. I have tried it both in Chirp and the radio interface. I can set them up with the same exact settings as the presets but they will not transmit. When the radio is keyed, it just beeps immediately.  Like an error beep. Can I only set up repeaters in the existing 8 preset repeater channels?

It is my understanding with that radio that it will only transmit on the pre-programmed channels. It will not transmit on added channels from what I understand.

this is spot on. u have to program repeaters on the already provided repeater channels.

This is correct. (I found out the hard way)
